Artist Talk and Reception: Wednesday, July 30 at noon

I’m honored to present a solo show at the Helen S. Smith Gallery at Green River College in Auburn. “Whole” exhibits the large words LOVE, HOPE and JOY that I constructed last year, along with counterpart pieces, What Remains (of LOSS), What Remains (of FEAR) and What Remains (of PAIN).

To create this body of work, I first constructed the words LOSS, FEAR and PAIN, then deconstructed them and created LOVE, HOPE and JOY out of the same physical materials. The materials that were not needed for the new constructions became the “What Remains” pieces. An augmented reality component to the exhibit fills in the gaps so that you can see the original words.

Notecards of these works are available for purchase in the Daily Art Habit shop.

The Helen S. Smith Gallery is in the Holman Library at Green River College in Auburn. Hours are Monday through Thursday, 8am – 8pm, Sundays 2-6pm. Join me for an Artist Talk and Reception on Wednesday, July 30 at noon.
